Apredica's scientific team all each have more than 10 years of drug-discovery experience. 80% of our scientific staff have Ph.D.s.

Katya Tsaioun, Ph.D.
President, Scientific Director, Co-Founder
Before founding Apredica, Dr. Katherine Tsaioun managed preclinical ADME Tox outsourcing and built in-house preclinical ADME Tox programs and teams at Mitotix/GPC Biotech, Surface Logix, and NitroMed. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Tufts University, and completed post doc work at Harvard University. Following the acquisition of Apredica by Cyprotex, Dr. Tsaioun also serves as Cyprotex's Chief Scientific Officer.

Dr. Tsaioun is the author of ADMET for Medicinal Chemists: A Practical Guide, published by Wiley & Sons. She is a frequent speaker on ADME Tox at scientific conferences. She serves on the following boards:

Mary Jacewicz, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
20+ years in cell biology research at Tufts/New England Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital. Assay development at Transkaryotic Therapies (now Shire). Ph.D., Biology/Cell Biology, New York University.

Yuki Nakano, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
10+ years of drug discovery experience at Mitotix/GPC Biotech. Postdoctoral research at Washington University and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Ph.D., University of California, Santa Cruz.

Mohammed Taimi, Ph.D.
Associate Director, ADME/PK
10+ years of experience in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics at Synta Pharmaceuticals and Cytochroma Inc. Ph.D. University of Montpellier. NIH post doc.

Christopher Strock, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
10+ years of experience in High Content Screening and cell biology at Cellumen, Johns Hopkins University Medical School Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, and DuPont Agricultural Products. Ph.D. University of Maryland, Baltimore. Post doc Johns Hopkins University Medical School.

Shuzhen Qin, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
15+ years of experience in drug discovery and biomedical research at Synta Pharmaceuticals, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Boston Biomedical Research Institute. Ph.D. Nanjing University. Post doc National Key Laboratory of Agricultural Biotechnology.
