Katya Tsaioun, Ph.D.
President, Scientific Director, Co-Founder
Before founding Apredica, Dr. Katherine Tsaioun managed preclinical ADME Tox outsourcing and built
in-house preclinical ADME Tox programs and teams at Mitotix/GPC Biotech, Surface Logix, and
NitroMed. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Tufts University, and completed post doc work at Harvard University.
Dr. Tsaioun is the author of ADME for Medicinal Chemists, which will be published by Wiley & Sons in June, 2010.
She is a frequent speaker on ADME Tox at scientific conferences. She serves on the following boards:
Carol Gebert, Ph.D.
ADMET Solutions Manager
10+ years' experience in biopharma. Dr. Gebert was previously with Thermo Fisher Scientific,
specializing in their Cellomics High Content Screening technology.
Ph.D. University of New South Wales, post-doc Boston University in liver signaling.
Robert Annand, Ph.D.
Director of Biology
15+ years in drug discovery at Parke-Davis, GPC Biotech, Surface Logix. Ph.D., Perdue University. NIH post doc.
Jon Gilbert
Director of Operations
10+ years in drug discovery at Schering-Plough, Enanta Pharmaceuticals, Genome Therapeutics, and Altana Pharma.
Mary Jacewicz, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
20+ years in cell biology research at Tufts/New England Medical Center,
Mount Sinai Hospital. Assay development at Transkaryotic Therapies (now Shire). Ph.D., Biology/Cell Biology, New York University.
Yuki Nakano, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
10+ years of drug discovery experience at Mitotix/GPC Biotech. Postdoctoral research
at Washington University and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Ph.D., University of California, Santa Cruz.

Mr. Mein is a Ph.D. candidate at Tufts University.
Administrative Team
Douglas Bates, M.S., M.B.A.
Chief Business Officer, Co-Founder
Before founding Apredica, Mr. Bates held roles in marketing management for Aquent,
Nequity, Signet Bank, Providian, and The Franklin Mint. Mr. Bates holds an A.B.
degree from Dartmouth College, an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, and
an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
He is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship.
Susanna Jones, J.D.
Financial Adminsitrator
Ms. Jones received her B.A. from The Ohio State University and her
J.D. from New England Law - Boston. She is currently an M.B.A. candidate at Suffolk University.
Debi Delorme
Accounting
Ms. Delorme has over 17 years of corporate finance experience. She spent most of her career at
Gillette in progressively responsible financial management roles. When she left Gillette,
she was Manager of Consolidations, responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual
worldwide consolidation process for approximately 200 Gillette affiliates including
timely analysis and preparation of the consolidated financial statements and selected
information for external reporting required by the SEC, 10K and 10Q while ensuring compliance
with SOX requirements. Ms. Delorme holds a B.S. in Accounting and Management from Northeastern University.
